Athletes alternately defend themselves from the attacking actions of an armed and unarmed opponent, using applied hand-to-hand fight techniques.

• 18–37 years old: men — 70, 80, 90, +90 кг; women — 50, 70, +70 kg.
• 38–49 years old: men — 75, 95, +95 кг; women — 60, +60 kg.
• 50–60 years old: men — 85, +85 kg.
• Over 60 years: men — with no consideration for weight.

• Men juniors 18–23 years old: 70, 80, 90, +90 kg.
• Women juniors 18–23 years old: 50, 70, +70 kg.

• Boys cadets 16–17 years old: 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 80+ kg.
• Girls cadets 16–17 years old: 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 65+ kg.
• Boys cadets 14–15 years old: 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 75+ kg.

Full-contact fights with punches and kicks, various throws and submission holds.
